All Styles Welcome illustrates the Imagine all-style music competition for young artists, documenting the 2011 pre-selection rounds and finals in Francophone and Flemish Belgium.
I chose to concentrate on the energy backstage, the relationships between band members, the mounting nerves, the symbiosis between participants and their instruments and the comfort they draw from their ownership of the latter. These photos were exhibited in the Botanique, Brussels in June/July 2011.
